Message from the President

I would like to personally thank you for visiting our revamped website.

The Malta China Friendship Society promotes friendship and cultural ties between Malta and China. This year we are celebrating the 34th birthday of our society.

When in January 1972 Malta recognized Red China and established diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China, the news sent shockwaves throughout Europe. 1973 saw the establishment of MFCS. Since then our society has probably done more than the Governments of the two countries to bring the two peoples together.

Our society is a voluntary organisation based in Malta. We have many operational challanges and our existence is very much based on the funds raised through membership and other activites. We encourage you to become a member of our society and attend the activities that we organise from time to time.
